THE LOVELY WHEELHOUSE BAR
Star Princess Group Cruise 10-30-05 Photos by Larry and Diane Blaisdell
We sailed with a group of friends that we have known for 20+ years on the beautiful Star Princess on 10-30-05 for seven nights and the ports of call included Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios Jamaica and Princess Cays. We stopped in Cozumel only to bring supplies to the residents still suffering from the hurricane last summer. I thought that was a lovely gesture on Princess' part and I told them so. In Grand Cayman we went to "Stingray City" and swam with the rays. What a surprise! You take a 20-30 minute boat ride and then right in the middle of the ocean is this huge sand bar so you can stand up in the water. The rays were everywhere and they ate right out of our hands. Plus you are supposed to kiss the ray for seven years of good luck. Far be it for me to break with tradition!
We splurged on this one and got a mini-suite. It was just so spacious we had room to spare. Plus we had a bathtub--how lovely!
Once you have cruised in a stateroom with a balcony  it's hard to settle for anything less. It is so special in the early morning to have your coffee out there and just greet the day in peace and quiet! Or maybe just to get away from the crowds sometime or enjoy the early evening or watch the sun set over the ocean. Wow! It makes me want to cruise again tomorrow!
THE SPA LOBBY
PRETTY PRINCESS SHOPS

Princess has very elegant ships. The public rooms are very tasteful and comfortable. I love the Wheelhouse Bar and I believe all of their ships have it. The Solariums are just gorgeous and have retractable roofs for inclement weather. It's always nice to have that "indoor" pool just in case!
